Klasická švestková povidla mě nechávají klidnou, ale tohle?! Můj nový objev, svařené švestky s kakaem, jsou trochu nakyslé ale hrozně dobré. Určitě je vyzkoušejte třeba na lívancích, vaflích nebo v ovesné kaši.
Prošla jsem si několik kuchařek a tipů na internetu, evidentně je to jeden z typicky babičkovských receptů (který se ke mně dostal až teď, aha!). Protože je období švestek, doporučuji moc neotálet a zavařit ve větším. Potřebovat budete švestky, cukr a kakao + sklenici. Kakao doporučuji nepražené, má fantastickou chuť. Celý postup na svařené švestky zvládnete v jednom hrnci.
Zjistila jsem, že se ke švestkám často přidává i vanilkový cukr, rum a rozpuštěná čokoláda pro výraznější čokoládovou chuť. Skvěle může chutnat také skořice nebo perníkové koření.
Doba přípravy: 25 minut
Objem: 400 ml
INGREDIENCE
- 400 g švestek
- 80 g třtinového cukru
- 60 ml vody
- 3 lžíce nepraženého kakaa
POSTUP
- Švestky rozpůlte a vypeckujte.
- Do menšího hrnce na sporáku dejte švestky, posypejte cukrem a nechte zkaramelizovat. Švestky začnou pouštět šťávu, já přidala navíc 60 ml vody.
- Nechte vařit asi 15 minut, dokud švestky nezměknout.
- Přidejte kakao a zamíchejte.
- Švestky odstavte a tyčovým mixérem rozmíchejte.
- Hotové svařené švestky přendejte do čisté sklenice, nechte vychladnout, pečlivě uzavřete a skladujte v lednici.
- V případě, že děláte větší množství, doporučuji zavařit.
TIP: Sklenici s víčkem předem vyvařte ve vroucí vodě na 10 minut a nechte uschnout. Švestky v ní se nebudou kazit tak rychle. Pokud děláte větší množství, zavařte švestky ve sklenicích v hrnci (já dělala pouze jednu k okamžité spotřebě, takže to nebylo potřeba).
